How to establish a geriatric massage practice
Upon completion of the two and a half day workshop, participants will have acquired a sound basis from which to develop an efficient approach to working with the elderly client. The aim of geriatric massage is not only the momentary pleasant feeling associated with massage but more importantly, the lasting effect that regular hands-on work has on the clients' state of health. Massage enhances blood circulation, eases mental stress, improves joint movement, lowers blood pressure, reduces muscle stiffness, minimizes arthritic and muscle pain, and benefits many other age-related health impairments. The course fee includes extensive handouts and instruction book. |
