Those of you licensed in Sacramento County may have received word by now that you need to have a valid CPR certificate to renew your license. In order to help you get that training we are offering some CPR classes at Healing Arts Institute. The four hour training will be offered on the following dates:

 

September 14, 2010

October 12, 2010

November 9, 2010

December 14, 2010

 

All classes are on Tuesdays from 6:00–10:00 pm.

The cost for this training is $45.

You will receive a 2-year CPR certificate that will suffice for licensing with the county.

Your training hours will also be on your transcripts from the school.

These classes are part of our massage therapy training program.

Proper draping will be used so that your modesty will be respected at all times.

The class includes instruction on infant massage.

Healing Hands, Healing Hearts seeks to support traditional medical care by providing massage, comfort, and connection for the body, mind and spirit of the terminally, chronically, and critically ill. 

Announcing the creation of... HEALING HANDS NETWORK 

A social network of healing artists that provides opportunities - to learn and practice techniques - to discuss current events and legislative concerns, and - to develop presentation and business skills. 

Who is eligible? 

     Anyone licensed and certified to practice healing arts, such as massage or Reiki. 

     At least 18 yrs old. 

Are there any membership fees? 

     An annual donation of $35 to cover membership materials and meeting refreshments.

Looking for one or more individual's that perform chair massage as a donation or reduced fee for a few hours. 

Our non-profit agency dedicates their selves to working with impoverished families and abused children. 

This one day retreat is to honor and support the hard work our clinicians put forth in their therapeutic support of children and families in need. 

This day is all about living healthy and de-stressing.

We are establishing a local Sports Massage Team. We need therapists who have been trained and have experience in Sports Massage and are interested in working with athletes at events. The team will travel to events in the greater Sacramento area and will provide Pre, Inter, and Post Event massage to athletes. Some events will be volunteer, some will be paid. You must be willing to do both.

This is a great opportunity to network with like-minded therapists, to gain experience working at events with athletes, and to market your business in the community.

A Women's Circle at The Center of Roseville, 151 North Sunrise Blvd., Suite 1016 upstairs, Roseville, CA 95661 You are invited to: A Women's Circle with Ceremony, sharing, teaching & learning, laughter and great conversation. We will embrace our "womanhood" and grow with other women. First Wednesday of each month, 7:00 - 9:00 PM  At this circle there will be a different theme for the gathering each month as a base to start sharing. There will be times when we will do crafts, or sharing, drumming, singing, dancing, perhaps some Qi Gong or Belly Dancing. You may also bring a drum, rattle, or other instrument to bring in the energies. A Love Donation of $10 (or more) accepted to cover cost of the room.
