Gary began massage as a student nurse in 1975. Gary is a graduate of the Healing Arts Institute. He passed the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 1996. He is a graduate of the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO.

Gary is also certified in Seated Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reflexology, Acupressure, Sports Massage and Bowen Therapy. He has completed advanced studies in Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Deep Tissue, Geriatric, Aromatherapy, Chair & Table Shiatsu, Active Isolated Stretching, Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Bodywork, Auriculotherapy, and Esalen Massage.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior, and a Master of Public Administration/Health Service Administration from the University of San Francisco. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School. Gary and his wife Gail maintain an active private practice in Fair Oaks Village where Gary focuses on his Rolfing practice.
