The most important thing we can do for our clients is to prepare ourselves before each and every session. So many practitioners experience burnout in the bodywork profession. They may have all the skills and education to heal others and be willing to work very hard and long hours, but if they have not learned how to take care of themselves and prepare for each session they may soon find themselves unable to continue the work they love and have dedicated so many hours to learn. This is so unfortunate when it is completely avoidable with just a few learned skills and habits. That’s what this class is all about.
Join me in this practical and imperative workshop as we explore together the following areas:
CLEARING – your energy and creating the clarity of your intention.
PREPARING – your workspace so that it is optimal for both you and your clients needs, energetically, physically and emotionally.
BALANCING- Energetically balancing yourself and learn how to keep your own energy separate from your clients energy, while at the same time, allowing healing energy to flow from the natural unlimited source. Not tapping out your own source. Leaving you feeling energized after each session, not drained.
GROUNDING –Everyone talks about grounding. What is it really? We will learn what it means to be grounded scientifically and how it feels to be really grounded and how to know when we are not. We will use guided meditations and other grounding tools. We will explore many ways of grounding our clients and ourselves before and after a session.
We will spend time talking about the importance of self nurturing and what that means for you personally so you will be able to serve your clients healthy and happily for as long as you like. I personally see between 5 and 6 clients a day and feel great at the end of each day and look forward to the next. I could not do that without the skills we will learn in this class. I look forward to sharing them with you.
Bring a notebook and pen and wear comfortable clothes.
